Hommage to Noble Music

The Budapest Festival Orchestra, our orchestra acclaimed far and wide, has for decades attracted the attention of the world to our capital city. A long series of concerts, exhibitions, museum and outdoor activities enrich Budapest’s cultural life. The success lies in the extraordinary talent of countless Hungarian artists and in that they are often joined by world famous foreign artists as well. This happened at the concert of the Wind Ensemble of the Berlin Philharmonics, considered to be among the world’s leading orchestras, held in the Budapest Vigadó. On Sunday evening, János and I listened mesmerised to the pieces ranging from Bach to contemporary composers.
What gives us a reason to be particularly proud is that among the brass instrument musicians of the Berlin orchestra, there are two Hungarian trumpeters.
