Magic in the Language of Music

“An inspired musical performance is like sun shining through stained glass windows”, said Ede Gertler – “it brings the work of art to life”. A song, a voice, a violin and a piano. It was for the first time at the festival organised to commemorate György Ciffra that three virtuosi of our musical scene, Erika Miklósa, Félix Lajkó and János Balázs performed together, on the stage of the Academy of Music. The evening offered a musical experience of a special atmosphere: the improvisations taking inspiration from one another created mesmerising sounds and harmonies, which embrace us and capture our heart and soul. The artists “living through and for music” created, through the music composed by Donizetti, Verdi, Strauss, Piazzola and Cziffra, a musical quality that has by now become an indispensable token of the by now traditional Cziffra Festival.
